Last week the students, staff and parents of our school made a presentation to Brother Heffernan on his retirement from the Board of Management of our school. Br. Heffernan served twenty seven years as chairperson of the Board. During his time, he has worked with three principals and countless staff and students.
The school held a short ceremony to thank Br. Heffernan for his work. The ceremony was attended by members of the Student Council and staff members who had served on the Board of Management over the years.
Student Council member, Adam Daly made a brief presentation on behalf of the students, and Ms. Quinn thanked Br. Heffernan on behalf of the Staff. He was presented with a piece of artwork designed by Edward Clarke.
Br. Heffernan is former Principal of both Roscommon CBS and St. Aidan's CBS. He is a science graduate from NUIG and a lecturer in Maynooth University.
