“All we wanted was to win”: The story of the U19 Basketball team at the All-Ireland

In February, St. Vincent’s Under-19 basketball team competed in the All-Ireland Schools League, representing Dublin North.
Produced by TY student Tynan Lawson, this new mini-documentary gives Newsroom behind-the-scenes access as the team embarks on a long and highly anticipated journey that led them to the national finals for the first time in 15 years.
Following a successful regional campaign, Vincent’s defeated local rivals Beneavin to secure their place in the All-Irelands. The team then went on to win four matches to reach the national final.
It was an exhilarating showdown, with a determined Vincent’s side facing Dundalk in the battle for the championship.
Featuring player interviews and real match footage, the 16-minute video tells the gripping story of how Vincent’s reached the final.
