Brrrr-illiant Success: The 2026 Ice Bucket Challenge Drenches Sports Day!

The shivering tradition continued this year as the Ice Bucket Challenge made its highly anticipated return to our annual Sports Day. In what has become the loudest (and coldest) event on the school calendar, students and staff once again came together to support the incredible work of Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
The "Lucky" Seven
The power was in your hands! After weeks of intense voting, the results were tallied, and the top seven staff members were marched to the "Splash Zone." This year’s brave victims—included:

Dermo (Our legendary Caretaker!)
The atmosphere was electric as the buckets were raised high. From Dermo’s stoic acceptance to the high-pitched reactions of our teaching staff, the crowd was treated to a spectacle of pure, icy chaos.
Making a Splash for Charity
While the day was filled with laughs and shivering teachers, the heart of the event remains our commitment to Temple Street Children's Hospital. Last year we set the bar high with €343, and thanks to your incredible generosity in 2026, we are hoping to shatter that record once all the final donations are counted. Every cent raised goes directly toward helping brave children receive the care they need.
