"After an accident which killed his wife and left his daughter disabled and with learning difficulties, he devoted his life to education of the poor."
Last Sunday (May 5th) was the feast day of Blessed Edmund Rice. Did you know that Edmund Rice had a very successful career in business?, but after an accident which killed his wife and left his daughter disabled and with learning difficulties, he devoted his life to education of the poor. Edmund Rice was the founder of the Christian Brothers, who founded our school.
The ERST Network of Schools
Our school is part of the ERST (Edmund Rice Schools Trust). There are 96 ERST schools in Ireland and 280 ERST schools worldwide.
To celebrate the feast of Edmund Rice, our school has put together a short reflection video to remind all of us what it means to be part of the ERST community. Take a look.
